In 2010, Vulcan Global Manufacturing Solutions was ranked among the top 10 manufacturing companies of all sizes in Southeastern Wisconsin in the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel’s “Top 100 Workplaces.” Among the things employees say they like are: Vulcan “listens, praises, offers constructive criticism, allows subordinates to make decisions and is decisive and makes the call when circumstances dictate.”
Vulcan has received a Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year (2008) special award in recognition of its Liability Protection and Lead Recycling Program, which creates a safe environment for manufacturing the company’s radiation protection products. The award is granted to companies that demonstrate a commitment to business excellence that has a positive impact on the company and the state, making Wisconsin a better place to live, work and play. In 2008, a total of nine awards were given, culled from a field of 71 entries.
