How can America bring down the cost of providing healthcare? One way is to improve radiation safety for medical technicians while at the same time giving them tools to perform their tasks more quickly.
My company recently helped one of our customers do just that by working concurrently with them to design lead shielding products that facilitate dose preparation. Our lead processes and lead products offer manufacturers a highly affordable route for making shielding components
The photo at the right shows a “cap-prep” system. Medical technicians use this system to prepare precise doses of nuclear medicine. This radiation protection system permits safe handling of nuclear medicines, as well as enabling the rapid processing, packaging and storage of individual patient doses.
